About the project

We organised and held an international festival “Suguvastavundu” (a concept of a tight-knit, rooted in the spirit of community rural celebration in Karelian). The festival creates the conditions for sustainable Finno-Ugric cooperation through a collaborative effort to mainstream the tradition of rural celebration as a centuries-old custom, which, in turn, is intangible cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of Karelia.
